Concrete is a vital construction materials used in a variety of site structures including parking lots, walkways, curbs, foundations and more. Concrete provides excellent performance throughout the service life of the structure when it is mixed cured and install properly.

Concrete Removal & Replacement Highlights

Concrete can be affected by poor installation processes or the natural elements.  Settling of poorly compacted fill and/or freezing and thawing of the sub-grade are common causes for concrete slab instability.

To improve durability, we use wire mesh reinforcements at installation to increase tensile strength, stabilize the concrete, and prevent cracks or joints from opening up or shifting vertically.

Water loss and shrinkage can also cause cracking in concrete.  Polypropylene fibers are added to the concrete mix to minimize cracking.

After excavating and removing the deteriorated concrete, exposed base material will be re-compacted using a vibratory plate compactor to ensure a solid base for replacement of concrete.  Then AXIS will form and pour the specified amount of concrete following engineering specifications for reinforcement as noted for the project.  Expansion and control joints will be furnished as needed.  The surface will be hand-trowelled or brush-finished.
